To All ArcGIS Desktop Users:
To simplify the upgrade of ESRI GIS software for a large organization with many ArcGIS Desktop users, I create bat files to perform silent uninstalls of the old ESRI software followed by silent installs of the new ESRI software (It would be great if the uninstall step was unnecessary). In the past I have removed the python software as a new version is installed with the new version of ArcGIS Desktop.
Is this step unnecessary as different versions of python can live on the same machine without detrimental effects to either ArcGIS Desktop or python processing?
Any feedback on this topic is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
