We use ArcGIS 10 SP4/SP5. All our Licenses are on the License Server(SP5). When a User wants to work with ArcGIS, he gets an error because all Licenses are in use.
When we check our License Server, we can see which User and Computer has taken a license. When we look at one of the computers, we cannot see any ArcGIS Processes in the Task Manager.
We shut down the computer, but the the license is still blocked. Only a stop and start gives us the licenses back.
Every computer that blocks a license without starting ArcGIS etc. has started lotus notes and an office product (word, excel, ppt).
What is the cause of the blocked license?
Is there a different solution to get the licenses free?
