I was attempting to use the Make XY Event Layer tool but got this message: Attachment 34490
I was told in the ArcGIS Desktop forum that it could mean my installation is corrupt. I am running the 10.1 version that was upgraded from a 10.0, but no remnants of the older version is on my programs list.
If more information is required to look into the problem please let me know.
