Or globe, or toolbox or catalog. I am a student trying to work on a presentation, finishing off my first semester of my masters in urban planning.
Anywho, I downloaded and was working with the Esri suite (all I use is map and catalog, for now) a bit on my new home computer which came with Windows 8. It forced me to update to 8.1 and now none of my Esri software opens. When I opened up the ArcGIS Administrator after this it said that I had a broken license, which I was able to fix. When I try to open ArcMap again, I get the same message:
ArcMap.exe - Bad Image
C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.0\Bin\afUILib.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contatct your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc0000020.
This happens with ArcGlobe and any other of the Esri products I try to open. I restarted my computer to no avail. I tried to uninstall but the uninstaller says that it doesn't detect the 10.0 on my computer, so go ahead and install. Needless to say, very frustrating.
Does anyone have any suggestions??? All advice is much appreciated.
Kyle
